“The Family” Starring Moi

Friday, 26. February 2010 19:42

Dysfunctional like everyone else’s family but nonetheless trying in their efforts to keep everything together. Though I think my family consists of two radically different sides (my mother’s side and my father’s side) I believe that both sides show a history to survive and make due. I find it fascinating the way people try to mask their feelings and what they’re going through in the various ways that they do. I believe family is the first example, the first lesson, to knowing that people will lie and that everyone struggles with something its just that most people do not show exactly what it is. I marvel at all the family secrets and then the smiling faces at my family events. The jokes and questions of concern. I don’t see it as phony or fake, rather I see it as intriguing and another form of theatre. I love my family and applaud them for trying to keep it together and then their natural inability to really do so. My family is just trying like everyone else, thats how I would describe them.

Dog Collars are better

Tuesday, 23. February 2010 12:56

The other day I was at the store looking at dog collars. I needed a new one for my cat, but all of them were lame. They all had leopard print or were covered in fake gems. They keep the collars far cats and dogs in the same place, so I took a look at the dog ones. The dog collars were awesome. There were collars with bones on them and others had paw-prints. Best of all, there was a large selection of plain collars. Just solid colors, no flare. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to find a plain collar for a cat. Maybe it’s just the stores I choose to shop at. Anyway, I seriously considered getting one with bones on it (my cat can pull off that look), but they were all a little too big. It was sad because the dog collars rocked.

Free T’s and Classy Sneaks

Monday, 22. February 2010 13:41

Definitely comfortable clothes. I am into fashion but the most important thing for me is being comfortable. I have a range of skinny jeans, boot cut jeans, and works pants. Then I have tons of free tshirts. Just like a mound of tshirts Ive collected over the years from various events, fundraisers, clubs, and sleepovers. I love the feeling of getting a free shirt its like the same as a screen tee but not as obnoxious as a tee bought from a popular store for $35 dollars. All i do is continously was my shirts and wait for time to do its things. Oh and im a sneaker fan though I do not have nearly as many sneakers as I would like. When I buy sneakers I look for versatility (can be worn with many different outfits ), price, and a classy simplicity. I own a lot of black sneakers and I love fitted hats.

It Comes Naturally

Friday, 19. February 2010 3:42

Playing with a dog is a pretty natural for most people. It was Teckle type of dog. It constitute autonomous breed of short legged. It color is black and light brown near to eyes. And it looks so cute and very shine. It was just 2 years old. It name is Jovi. It understands what I said like, go, lie down on their upscale orthopedic dog bed, pick the ball, etc. It likes to play fetch. Some breeds of dogs generally enjoy fetching more than others. Find an open space and throw a tennis ball or a Frisbee, and hope that Rover will bring it back. Blow children’s soap bubbles for your dog. Many dogs love to chase the bubbles, jump and “catch” them in mid-air. Taking care of dog is very important. Do not use household objects like old shoes, bungee cards, or belt as toys. Limit the number of toys your dog has to a few favorites. Dogs don’t require 10 different toys to stay interested and often focus on one or two. Having more toys often /confuses dogs as to what is a toy and what is not a toy. Heavy rubber such as Kong brand is excellent for chewers. Putting treats or peanut butter inside them can really keep a dog occupied for hours. Weakly once keep the dog into bath is very important.

I love love love love love gmail. I love gmail because it is the most protection i have ever gotten from a email service. I had hotmail and yahoo and my mailbox was always flooded with spam and junk mail. Since having gmail I have almost forgotten that you can recieve spam in something as your email inbox. I feel confident opening messages and providing my email on different questionaires. In addition the chat option in gmail is superb and something I have never seen before in an email service. I know when my friends are on, or business associates, family members whatever! It is also an universal email service. How many email services allow you to login to YouTube or blogspot with just your email address. Not previous registration need, you can go anywhere with a gmail account. Its just awesome.

Jail Bait

Tuesday, 16. February 2010 3:40

Back when I was dating guys, I met this dude off myspace. He was an amateur/professional boxer (not sure how to classify him) who had went as far to win a golden glove. He seemed pretty cool via the internet and at the very least he seemed strong…So we decided to meet up. After meeting once and making sure he wasnt a lunatic we planned for a date to the movies. I had my mothers car so I told him I would pick him up and then we would drive to the mall to go to see the Da Vinci Code. When he got in the car we said our hellos and then proceeded to drive to the mall. He told me he needed to pick up something from the barbershop real quick and i didnt see the big deal so he directed me to the barbershop. Once we got there he hopped out and ran across the street into the barbershop. I waited outside for a good twenty minutes upset that I was waiting so long for him, assuming he was coming right back. When he did i saw he had gotten a haircut. After telling him to never do that again and kicking myself for even going on a date with this guy, we finally arrived at the mall. We stopped at McDonalds. This dude decided (after getting a haircut) that he didnt have money for his meal let alone mine. I ordered him some fries and myself a meal and told him would should just skip the movie. I later found out he had spent 3 years in prison.

My Boo’s Eyes

Saturday, 13. February 2010 2:40

I guess what I like most about my girlfriend is her perspective. It sounds crazy because its assumed thats where most arguments arrive from…having different perspectives. So do we not argue? Of course we do. What I mean by perspective is how she views life, what catches her eye, and ultimately how she displays it and respresents it in such outlets as a blog (she loves to blog). Its like I read her page and Im like she’s so interesting and creative…it makes me proud to know I have someone who can look into things so deeply and find beauty in the most remote places. I feel it is unique, its not forced, and its very pure to the point she doesn’t even notice it. I love that about her because it means she has depth. That is so much cooler than being solely physically attractive- which indeed she is as well :)

Thank God for Discounts

Tuesday, 9. February 2010 18:39

I do like my current phone carrier (Verizon) for the simple fact that I get a discount on my bill every month. Other than that if I had to pay the full bill I probably would have given up on Verizon a while ago because they are so expensive. Generally the service is good, like I don’t have many problems with getting service. The customer support is decent and they offer some pretty hot phones- though I really wish they offered the iphone. Once they do that Im a lifer (a life time verizon customer). Until then I am happy with my discounted bill each month and my touch screen blackberry that freezes way more it should for such a high end company (whole other story).

On the Subject of Doggie Dress-up Time

Sunday, 7. February 2010 8:55

Why do people insist on dressing up their dogs in gaudy sweaters and hideous costumes? I mean, come on. There is no way that the dogs actually like this and for breeds there is a lack of good reason to dress them up at all. Hairless dogs may need sweaters when it gets cold, but other dogs just don’t. Every time I see a picture of a dog wearing dog clothes, I wonder if it’s miserable. Some of them look quite annoyed. As if dressing them up wasn’t bad enough, some people have the gall to put the poor things in baby clothes instead of proper dog clothes. Don’t they know that those clothes are designed for human babies and can impede their dog’s movement, not to mention how uncomfortable they must be? Seriously, they’re dogs. They shouldn’t be treated like babies or dress-up dolls.

Avatar, Avatar, Avatar (in 3D)

Avatar (2009 film)
Image via Wikipedia

This past week I went with my girlfriend to see the movie Avatar by James Cameron. This movie was awesome! Not only was the movie amazing, but an added bonus was we saw it in 3D! (for an extra 10 dollars of course). The special effects were mind blowing and the plot was very creative. I heard Cameron was working on the movie for more than 12 years. You can tell he and his crew put a great deal of effort into making the historic film. It is my hope that Avatar 2 will come out within the next few years because I would love to hear the rest of the story!
